If you have friends or relatives who have recently got married, ask to see their professional wedding pictures. Looking at other people’s photos should give you an idea of the types of pictures you want. As well as looking at your friend’s pictures, have a browse online for examples. As well as going on Instagram for inspiration, it’s also a good idea to browse wedding websites to get ideas. You’ll find it much easier to pick a wedding photographer, once you have an idea of the style of pictures you would like.   Choosing the perfect wedding photographer   The key to achieving the wedding photos of your dreams is knowing what style you want when choosing your wedding photographer. Once you have an idea of the style of photos you would like; you can then start hunting for the perfect wedding photographer. Ideally, you want to opt for one of the best photographers in your area. Ask around for recommendations, and you might just find the perfect person.   It’s really important that you choose a photographer that you get on well with. They should also be someone who you feel relaxed and comfortable with. As on your wedding day, the last thing you want is to spend time with someone you can’t relax around. Before selecting a wedding photographer, make sure to meet with them a couple of times to get to know them.   Experience and a beautiful portfolio   Once you’ve found a wedding photographer that you like, ask them about their experience. Ideally, you want to choose a photographer that has, at least, a couple of years of experience, and a few weddings under their belt.   If you can, opt for a wedding photographer who has done a wedding at your chosen venue before. This is important as the better they know the venue, the more likely they are to know all the best picture locations. If they haven’t been to the venue before, invite them to come along for a viewing with you, so that they can get a feel for the place.   As well as asking about experience, make sure to ask to see their portfolio. Ask them whether they work in one style of photography or various ones, depending on what the couple want for their big day. By looking at a photographers portfolio, you should be able to get a good idea of the quality of their work. Something that is very important if you want beautiful wedding pictures.   There you have it, everything that you need to consider when choosing a wedding photographer.
