The bank holiday weekend was a busy one for me as we had to attend my two little sister in laws Holy Communion. My two tasks were styling the girls hair and sourcing cupcakes!
The hair was always going to be a no brainer in terms of what style to have as my little sisters in law haven’t quite forgiven me since I didn’t let them have their hair straightened for my wedding- I love their natural hair. Straight, straight, straight is all they wanted for their communion.
When my mother in law asked me to organise the cupcakes for the cake table I knew just who to ask- Kwash Kitchen!
Kwash Kitchen is the brainchild of cupcake enthusiast Angela Kwashie. Having tasted Angela’s cupcakes at various parties and christenings in London, I was eager to get her on board for the communion. And boy did she deliver!
My mother in law was very specific about the colour palette she wanted and Angela was more than happy to oblige. The icing colours chosen were pink, green and cream and we went for a vanilla flavoured cupcake.
For more information on Kwash Kitchen, you can view Angela’s site here. You can also find Kwash Kitchen on instagram @KWASHKITCHEN
My mother in law did a fantastic job of decorating the cake and sweet table. The table decor actually reminded me of a bridal shower!
