Of course you want to look incredible on your wedding day. Who doesn’t want to be the most beautiful bride the world has ever seen?! Taking your time to get ready on the day is important, but so is all of the prep work you do in advance. Use this guide to look out of this world on your wedding day!
A Makeup Artist (or lots of practice)
Makeup artists can give your face a flawless finish on your wedding day. Unless you’ve had lots of practice you probably won’t be able to recreate the same kind of look. Makeup artists can smooth out all of your imperfections, make your eyes and lips stand out, and make your makeup last all day. If you want to save some money, you can watch tutorials and practice yourself. However, only do this if you’re confident enough in your abilities!
A Hairstylist
Again, unless you’re truly confident with styling your own hair, you’ll need a hair stylist on hand. Preferably somebody who is experienced when it comes to wedding day hair styles. They’ll be able to help you decide on a style to suit your gown, accessories, and face shape. This way, you’ll look gorgeous and your pictures will turn out amazingly well!
Hair Treatments
In the run up to the big day, make sure you invest in hair treatments to keep your hair smooth and healthy. In fact, you can make your own hair treatments to save cash. You can mix things like avocado, egg yolk and coconut oil to create moisturising masks. I swear by Coconut oil, Jamaican Black Castor oil or Moroccan Argan Oil. Either one is great for conditioning!
Nail Treatments
You want your nails to look healthy on your big day. Make sure in the run up, you’re using a strengthening polish every day, and filing them as you need to. Don’t use theme as tools or bite them. In the days leading up to the wedding, you can then have them painted or gel polish applied.
Jewellery to Suit Your Skin Tone
You need jewellery to suit your skin tone, otherwise you can end up looking washed out. Make sure the jewellery you choose suits not only your skin tone, but your engagement ring too. If you have something similar to the designer engagement rings here, you should be able to find some amazing matching pieces to enhance your look.
A Figure Flattering Dress
The key to looking stunning is knowing your figure and what suits it. A figure flattering dress is an absolute must! Not only will you look slimmer and curvier in all of the right places, you’ll feel amazing.
The Right Shoes
The right shoes are so important. You’ll be wearing them all day long, so they must be comfortable. Make sure you break them in beforehand if you need to, to avoid blisters and sore feet on the day!
A Consistent Skin Care Routine
Start looking after your skin as well in advance as you can to make it glow. You can even invest in professional treatments if you like. In the run up to my big day I was told to try lemon and honey on my face. It’s quite tingly but does give a refreshing glow. More recently, I’ve been using InstaNatural’s Dead Sea Clay mask. One word: Amazing. Two words: Full Body. Thank me later.
Start doing these things as soon as you can and you’ll look amazing on the big day. Enjoy your time to shine!
Happy planning!! xoxoxo
