The blog has had a short hiatus as I’ve been busy over the last few months being a bridesmaid, wedding coordinator, you name it! But, I’ve still been heavily involved in the bridal scene and I’m happy to be back with some bridal fashion for my Glam dolls.
Inspired by texture and light, Lyn Ashworth’s collection for 2018 is the perfect luxury reinterpretation of the brand’s signature sophisticated aesthetic. The ‘Daydreamer’ collection features texture, ruffles, twinkle and tulle. From hand appliqued three-dimensional embellishments and delicate beaded French lace, to shimmering sequins, the show-stopping collection offers a contemporary take on classic vintage style. Fine off-the-shoulder silhouettes and floor-sweeping statement gowns are available in a pretty palette of ivory, champagne and blush.
The ‘Daydreamer’ collection was shot on location at Chateaux De Clerac, near Bordeaux, France.
Highlights from the collection include a light catching sequin bodice and tulle one- shoulder overlay styled out with a hand beaded flower brooch. ‘Spring Rose’ features a beautiful lace overlay with subtle rose bud and sequin detail, sweetheart neckline bodice and soft blush silk tulle lining. Detail is drawn from botanical influences with textured fabric such as three-dimensional floral guipure lace and a silk organza skirt adorned with silk flowers. Monochrome accents run through the collection with black velvet ribbon belts styled to accentuate circle satin chiffon skirts.
I was first introduced to Lynn Ashworth’s breathtaking collection during the spring by Arabella Dupont, former Retail Editor of Conde Nast Brides. Arabella now runs her own Brand Consultancy business. I’d been invited to a viewing of the Lyn Ashworth’s new collection and I was blown away. Each gown has been designed with detail in mind. The textures are amazing! I couldn’t wait to share these designs with you all!
